Incantation Sets Console Release Window for March 2026

Based on the live-action film of the same name, Incantation merges ritualistic themes, East Asian mythology, and slow-burn dread to craft an experience that’s both eerie and deeply immersive. Publisher eastasiasoft and developer Softstar Entertainment have announced that Incantation will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch in March 2026. The game has been available on PC since November 17, 2024, via Steam, and the upcoming console versions are expected to broaden its audience significantly.

Xbox Series players can already get a taste of the game thanks to a demo available through the Indie Selects Demo Fest on the Microsoft Store. The demo showcases Incantation’s suffocating atmosphere, stealth-focused gameplay, and the sense of vulnerability that defines its moment-to-moment experience.

A Descent Into the Cursed Chen Family Village

Incantation transports players to the haunted Chen Family Village, a region plagued by rituals, curses, and the echoes of past tragedies. Players step into the role of Jia Jun Lee, a parent desperately searching for his missing daughter. As he explores the village, he uncovers sinister cult activity, malevolent spirits, and long-buried secrets that threaten to consume him.

Presented entirely from a first-person perspective, the game emphasizes investigation and survival. Players must complete ritualistic tasks, collect documents, solve environmental puzzles, and evade entities that cannot be confronted directly. The result is a tense, paranoia-driven horror experience built on atmosphere rather than combat.

Collectors aren’t being left out. Incantation will receive standard physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch priced at $29.99. For Switch owners, a Limited Edition priced at $39.99 will also be available, featuring:
